The research projects meeting conditions stated below shall be given financial support by the Society of Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology (TSOT) following an evaluation:

The project must to be conducted by a fellow member of TSOT.

• The main topic of the project must be mainly focused on the basic researches in the field of orthopedics and traumatology. A project support may be given to multi-centered, prospective, randomized control group based clinic researches, considered to be crucial for our country.
• The applicants should fill the “Project Application Form” to be obtained from the address below or from www. totbid.org.tr . The application forms should be submitted to the general center of TSOT, twice a year, -until the end of the last work day of March and September-.
• Each year the projects will be evaluated (in April and May for the applications made in March and in October and November for the applications made in September) by the TBOT Basic Researches sub-division of TSOT. The results of the evaluations shall be announced to the applicants following the approval of the board of administrators of TSOT.
• Following the time-schedule indicated during the application is a must for the continuation of the project support. The amounts shall not be paid lump sum. Instead, the payments will be made according to a pre-determined calendar, depending on the working schedule and the content of the study involved. TSOT Basic Researches Sub-Division will be responsible of the control over the supported projects. The project owners will be asked to submit certain reports regularly. The projects, which fail to keep up with the working schedule, shall no longer receive the support.
• In case a research is not completed within the determined period of time or its support is removed, none of the project owners stated for the particular project will be allowed to apply for a new project support to TSOT for another 3 years following the annulment date.
• The priority of support given to the projects will be given to young researchers below 40.
• After the project-end report is approved by the TSOT TBOT Basic Researches Sub-Division and TSOT board of administrators, the project will be deemed completed.
• A project manager shall not be given support for more than one project at a time.
• Priority will be given to the second application of the project owners, who have previously received support from TSOT and completed his/her project on time and published its results on foreign journals.
