As the board of directors of the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association, our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was visited at the Haliç Congress Center on December 9, 2023.

In this meeting, our activities that we carried out during the earthquake disaster that occurred in our country on February 6, 2023 were explained. In addition, it was stated that we established TOTBİD Earthquake and Disaster Coordination Board and organized training activities and workshops for possible earthquakes, and it was stated that we are ready for any task given by our state in this regard.

Our opinions regarding the quality of the materials used on patients were expressed, and it was stated that we are ready to provide any support if we are considered a stakeholder and interlocutor on this issue. Again, information was given about the Implant Registration System.

Information was given about our international activities carried out by TOTBİD and our relations with international associations and federations (APOA, EFORT, etc.), and Turkey's successes in the international platform in the field of orthopedics were conveyed. It has been stated that it is possible to carry out many international activities in Turkey. Our relations and meetings with the Turkic Republics were also mentioned.

Information was given about the activities of the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Training Council (TOTEK) (assistant exams, specialist qualification exams and accreditation, etc.). Our opinions have been conveyed about making the TOTEK Board exam a more effective and recognized exam for our country.

We expressed our sadness and the point that violence has reached in our country to physicians and healthcare professionals, and conveyed our wishes for more effective measures and penalties.

Our meeting was concluded by conveying our ideas and opinions on Health Tourism.
