The next BOOS meeting will take place on Friday 20th May 2016 at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin. It will be the first meeting of Paul Cool’s presidency and will be hosted by Mr Gary O’Toole, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon & Senior Clinical Lecturer, St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin and Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital. Mr Max Gibbons, past President of BOOS, will give his Hunterian Professorship Lecture entitled “orthoplastic reconstruction in sarcoma surgery”. The guest lecturer at this year’s meeting is: Professor Patrick Boland, Senior Attending Surgeon, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York. Abstracts We are now open for submission of abstracts for poster and podium presentation. The deadline is Friday 1st April 2016. Abstracts should be 250 words long and submitted as a word document. Please include the institution name and lead author contact details. Abstracts will be anonymised prior to review. The following headings should be used: Introduction, Aim, Method, Results, Conclusion. Tables and illustrations are permitted.
